The Party series explores fragmented female bodies through glamour, performance and unease. Sequins, tooth gems, glittering dresses and cropped gestures create images that appear seductive, but also unstable. The body is cut, adorned, obscured and pressed into surface.

Rather than depicting the party as a social scene, these paintings treat it as a psychological space where desire and self-presentation become fragile. Through close cropping, blurred edges and textured surfaces, the works hold attraction and discomfort in the same image.

Dogs recur in these paintings as uneasy companions to fragmented bodies and glittering surfaces. Carefully groomed, adorned, obedient or restless, they echo the pressures placed on the female figures around them.
They become doubles of the body: cherished and controlled, intimate and decorative, affectionate and uneasy. Through this motif, the works explore how care, desire and possession can blur into one another beneath polished appearances.
